Stackable to Degree Program
These microcredentials align with requirements for the Education Studies A.S. degree should students choose to continue their education after obtaining the microcredential.
Childhood Development Associate Preparation Part I
The CDA Preparation Part I Microcredential aligns with recent accreditation changes that shift the credentialing structure away from distinct age groups (infant/toddler, preschool) toward a single unified span of birth through age five. This adjustment requires candidates to demonstrate knowledge and competencies across the entire developmental range of 0–5 years. It aligns with both the national accreditation body and SUNY policy, while continuing to serve students and the early childhood education field with a rigorous, practical, and relevant preparation program.
Childhood Development Associate Preparation Part II
The CDA Preparation Part II Microcredential aligns with recent accreditation changes toward a single unified span of birth through age five. Candidates are required to demonstrate knowledge and competencies across the entire developmental range of 0 - 5 years. This restructuring ensures alignment with both the national accreditation body and SUNY policy, while continuing to serve students and the early childhood education field with a rigorous, practical, and relevant preparation program.
